who we are

We’re Morg (writer/filmmaker) and Alice (actor/ritualist), two adventurous girls motivated by a (sometimes unhealthy) lust for novelty and meaning.

After meeting in 2016 in a strange cabin in the woods, we realized we had a lot in common, including a shared passion for experimenting on our friends with elaborately crafted, utterly berserk immersive experiences.

A few years later, we founded the Classics Department to infuse your events with beauty, mischief, and madness.

  • Alice Maynwaring is a Brooklyn-based theater artist and ritual designer. She is also a student of many worlds, having studied psychology at Columbia, theology at Boston University, and Western esotericism in her room late at night. In a past life, she was a software engineer. Now, her aim is to create immersive experiences that challenge people to discover new layers within themselves.

  • Morgane is a writer & director based in NYC. In her senior year of high school, she was voted "Most Mischievous Girl." Her male counterpart was the kid who threatened to bomb the school.
