Please, Kill mr. kinski!

An immersive theatrical game
Made by party people for other party people

You are invited to the set of nosferatu: the vampyre: the musical

In a beautiful chalet on the top of a mountain, a film crew’s patience wears dangerously thin. At its center stands legendary madman Klaus Kinski, whose private torments have brought production to a standstill.

As Klaus rages on the piano deep into the night, guests find themselves entangled in increasingly intricate quests to get the production back on track — or, when the last thread of civility snaps, murder the man who’s keeping them all there.

You'll take on the role of a member of the film crew and play a game that evokes the chaotic cabin-fever excitement of a film set, with all its drama and disaster.

What?

An immersive experiment that’s part party, part theater, part game.

I am like a wild animal born in captivity, in a zoo. But where a beast would have claws, I was born with talent.

Words from the audience

  • “Forced me outside of my comfort zone in the best possible way. In the span of several hours, I went from intimacy coordinator to make-up artist, interacting with cast, crew, and fellow participants in a frenzy... to ensure the show goes on. Inspired me to lean into my inner thespian that I didn’t even know was there, making me feel like a genuine crew member. Truly a unique and exciting experience I’ll never forget!”

    D.S.

  • "The best thing I saw at Sundance... and my favorite immersive theater piece I've seen in recent history."

    G.S.

  • "Unhinged and based. I didn't know whether to love or hate Kinski... which is exactly how I feel about him in real life."

  • “Whether exchanging coke for favors with the Producer or listening to a bold reincarnation of David Lynch telling you to put a baby in a bath of boiling water, the joyful absurdity of the Kinski experience brought smiles to my cold, cynical face.”

    J.P.

  • "The number of trigger warnings needed was very large, and they delivered. It was awesome."

    S.R.

  • "You’re on the set of an unhinged staging of “Nosferatu: The Vampyre: The Musical,” in a production that’s funny and surprising, stylish and dark, playful and self-aware… This is a show that blurs every possible line between audience and stage. (At one point, David Lynch may or may not recruit you for a clandestine spy mission!) The actors were especially amazing — seductive femmes fatales and deranged power-mad maniacs."

 FAQ

  • You’ll spend most of your time completing quests while carousing with other members of the set. The night will be punctuated by performances from Kinski. Your actions during the game will impact the final performance.

  • Yes, you can! But you would miss the dramatic final scene. We encourage you to plan to stay until 11pm, but of course you’re always free to leave if you decide it’s not your thing.

  • Kinski was a German actor famous for terrorizing film sets with depraved outbursts of manic rage. He was so difficult to work with that multiple film crews considered killing him during production. On Crawlspace, the producer made a plan to murder him for the insurance money. After Fizcarraldo, Werner Herzog tried to firebomb Kinski’s house, but was thwarted by Kinski’s German Shepherds.
